LaRievocazione 2025 edition

The Cultural Association “Il Castello” is pleased to present a new edition of LaRievocazione, organised in collaboration with the Pro Loco ViviLari Association and sponsored by the Municipality of Casciana Terme Lari.

The historical re-enactment event, for a day, will take the Castle and the village of Lari back in time to the early 16th century.

The streets and squares of the village will host scenes of popular life and ancient crafts, carefully reconstructed and illustrated for visitors. Tailoring, cooking, milling, blacksmithing, as well as falconry and various itinerant characters. The fortress will be brought to life by armed men, the famous (or infamous) “lanzichenecchi”, mercenaries who offered their services to those who could pay the most. Cannons will return to the ramparts, with faithful reproductions of models from the period. The interior of the castle will be brought to life by ladies, noblemen and court officials, each of whom will illustrate a particular aspect of court life.

The event will take place in Lari on Sunday 5 October from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, with the option of having lunch in Piazza Matteotti or in the restaurants. Free shuttle bus service available.
