LaRievocazione 2026 edition

The “Il Castello” Cultural Association is delighted to present a new edition of LaRievocazione, organised in collaboration with the Pro Loco ViviLari Association and under the patronage of the Municipality of Casciana Terme Lari.

On Sunday 27 September, this historical re-enactment event will transport the Castle and the village of Lari back in time for a day, to the early 16th century, centred around a single theme: music. Visitors will thus have the chance to discover ancient instruments, traditional dances, and travelling musicians who will perform old folk rhythms and melodies, thereby bringing to life a little-known aspect of culture and daily life in the 16th century.

All this will take place in the streets and squares of the village, which will host scenes of everyday life and traditional crafts, carefully reconstructed and demonstrated to visitors. Tailoring, papermaking, cooking, the mill and the blacksmith’s workshop, to name but a few, as well as falconry and various itinerant characters.

Inside the fortress, alongside court dances, visitors will be able to learn about military life and other aspects of daily life in a Florentine military garrison.

A small encampment featuring soldiers, arquebuses and artillery will be set up in the square at the foot of the castle.

The event takes place in Lari on Sunday 27 September from 10.30 am to 7.00 pm, with the option to have lunch in Piazza Matteotti, as well as in local restaurants.

Entrance fee to the village: €6.00; free for children up to 5 years old. Free shuttle bus.
